Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I have to make a reservation?

A: We do not take reservations. Our studio is first come first serve. If we fill up we add you to our waiting list and call you as soon as a table is available. For Saturday painting we recommend calling when you are on your way, we can then add you the wait list or save a table if one is available. Tables will only be held for 15 minutes.

Q: What are your studio hours?

A: Tuesday- Saturday 11am-7pm. Last call for seating is one hour before closing.  (We do recommend giving yourself at least 2 hours to paint)

Q: How much does it cost?

A: All of our pieces are priced individually, starting at about $25. As of 1/1/2024 we no longer charge a separate studio fee.

Q: How long does the process take?

A: Once you are done painting your pieces we dip them in a clear coat and fire them. This process takes 7 to 10 days. We will call you when your masterpieces are available for pick up.

Q: Can I bring alcohol in with me?

A: No. Alaska alcohol laws prohibit the consumption of alcohol in any business without a permit/license.

Q: Can I bring food?

A: You can bring in food. We just ask that you wash your hands before handling the ceramic pieces. Food residue, oils & lotion can & will soak into the bisque pieces and damage them.

Q: Can I bring my pet?

A: Service dogs are allowed. As cute as they all are we can not have other pets in the studio.

Q: Are you hiring?

A: We are always accepting applications!

Q: Why were you sometimes closed on a random days?

A: We are a small family owned and operated business with a small staff. We take a few extra days off quarterly.   Quarterly closures are planned in advance. We of course have unplanned closures due to weather, illnesses etc.   We do our best to announce unplanned closures on social media and appreciate your support and understanding.

Q: Do you fire outside pieces?

A: We do not. We will only glaze and fire pieces purchased at our studio.

Q: What is your busiest day/time? What is the slowest time?

A: Saturday at 2pm is our busiest day/time. Our slowest day seems to be Thursday.
